"New
hope for a new life."
|
Mission
To help wormen with limited socio-economic resources
find appropriate treatment for their alcohol and/or
other drug abuse.
To educate substance abusing women and their significant
others about a healthier way of dealing with life's
difficulties.
Helping Women Find Solutions
Alcoholism and other drug dependencies do not have a single cause-they are primarily illnesses which are chronic, progressive, and too often fatal. They affect all aspects of a woman's social and family relationships.
Women's Alliance for Recovery Services takes a holistic approach that
concerns itself with all aspects of a wman's condition,
including physical, emotional, spiritual, social, cultural,
and economic factors.
This approach recognizes that for a successful recovery, women need assistance in other areas of concern such as childcare, medical services, prenatal care, protection from domestic violence and abuse, and adequate housing.
